EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and other challenging emotional experiences. Developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro, EMDR helps your brain process distressing memories and experiences stored in the nervous system, reducing their emotional impact and helping you feel calmer and more balanced.
Backed by extensive clinical research, EMDR therapy can support lasting emotional healing, improve mental health, and enhance overall well-being. It’s a safe, structured approach that empowers you to move forward with greater confidence and resilience.
"The body remembers, the bones remember, the joints remember, even the little finger remembers."
- Clarissa Pinkola Estes
I use the Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR (S.A.F.E.) approach, which integrates traditional EMDR therapy with a focus on somatic awareness and attachment patterns. This approach helps clients understand how trauma affects the body and relationships while emphasizing safety and grounding.
S.A.F.E. EMDR provides a secure foundation for processing difficult memories, supporting resilience, emotional regulation, and personal growth. It's especially beneficial for individuals with complex trauma or attachment-related challenges, helping them build confidence, emotional balance, and a stronger connection to themselves.
As an EMDR-certified therapist through EMDRIA, I am committed to the highest standards of ethical, effective care. My certification reflects ongoing training and a dedication to delivering EMDR therapy with skill, compassion, and evidence-informed practices.
