Do you accept insurance?
I work on a private-pay basis, which allows us to focus fully on your goals without the limitations or requirements that often come with insurance. Many clients find private pay offers greater privacy, flexibility, and the freedom to structure sessions in a way that fits their needs. I’m happy to provide a superbill so you can submit it for potential out-of-network reimbursement if desired.
What is a Good Faith Estimate (GFE)?
A Good Faith Estimate outlines the expected costs for your therapy sessions, including intake and ongoing sessions. It helps you plan ahead and feel confident about fees. If your needs or session structure change, the GFE can be updated to reflect those adjustments.
Do you offer virtual therapy?
Yes. Therapy is available online for individuals and couples across California. Virtual sessions provide the same safe, supportive, and confidential environment as in-person sessions, giving you flexibility and comfort while engaging in therapy.
What should I expect during our first therapy session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about your goals, and answer any questions you might have. Individual sessions usually last about 60 minutes, and couples’ sessions typically run around 80 minutes. This time helps us build a strong foundation and begin meaningful work together.
For couples therapy, do both partners need to attend every session?
For the most effective work, it’s ideal for both partners to attend together. Sessions are designed to support your relationship, and individual sessions with one partner are typically offered only if we discuss them together and agree they will benefit your therapy goals.
Can therapy help if I/we are considering separation or divorce?
Yes. Therapy for individuals or couples can provide support, improve communication, and help navigate difficult decisions. The focus is always on fostering understanding, clarity, and resilience, whether you are working on your own growth or your relationship.
Can EMDR therapy be used in couples therapy?
Yes. EMDR can be integrated to help process past trauma or distressing experiences. For individuals, it supports healing and emotional regulation. For couples, it can help both partners address experiences that affect the relationship, supporting connection and resilience.
